Summary: I exponentially grew my personal brand’s Tik Tok account.


Client: Alyssa Weyland Consulting, my freelance business, providing marketing consulting and client services for independent artists

Strategy:

  • Posted an average of 40 videos/month for 5 months, or about 1-3 videos a day

  • Creating long-form educational videos with a value-based hook, educational content, and clear CTA

  • Creating a series of free mini-reviews, to grow my email list and advertise my 1-1 services

  • Storytelling about my favorite pieces of art

  • Engaging with a community and building genuine relationships

Results:

  • Built a community of 8k targeted followers in a matter of a few months

  • Established myself as an industry expert and booked 1-1 consultations at $150 an hour

  • Grew my Facebook group of artists learning business skills

  • Grew my email newsletter

What I learned:

  • Video has an amazing potential to earn trust, build relationships, and sell products

  • How to practice what I preach with creating content consistently

  • The technical ins-and-outs of Tik Tok and video creation

  • Having a deep impact on fewer people is more lucrative than having a shallow impact on millions of people
